Clean power, dirt cheap prices.

While most of the focus in the sphere of PC gaming hardware typically relates to CPUs and GPUs, having a good power supply cannot be understated. Giving your components good clean energy is integral to ensuring proper functionality and extended life spans. Whether you’re trying to replace a dead or aging power supply, upgrade power delivery, build a new PC, or just improve cable management, there are some great deals this Black Friday for quality power supplies.

We’ve done the grunt work and poured over countless options to show you some of the best deals out there. In addition to the list we’ve put together, we will also help you figure out which power supply to choose for your PC and explain why these are the best power supplies to consider.

As a note, our list of Black Friday deals consists entirely of ATX-sized PC power supplies due to it being the most popular and compatible standard. These power supplies were also chosen because of build quality, common system power requirements, warranty duration, low operating noises, modularity, efficiency, and of course pricing. You’ll also notice that all of these adhere to the 80+ gold rating or better, and that we recommend modular power supplies simply for less cable clutter since you can just wire in what you need.

How to calculate how much power you need

As for figuring out which power delivery rating you should choose, there are plenty of tools out there you can utilize. We like the Outer Vision, be quiet!, and Newegg calculators, but there are plenty of other options as well.

Simply enter in all of the power consumption specs for the components that will be in your PC and these calculators will spit out a number for your estimated power consumption. If you’re unsure of how to find some of the specs, visit the manufacturer websites and check the technical specs of your components. Some of the calculators will also autofill data for you, but it’s always best to verify the autofill numbers are accurate.

Most calculators will also tell you how much headroom to allow for, but you generally want about 20% more capacity for better overall power consumption efficiency. Going with extra power delivery headroom will also give you peace of mind if you’re not fully confident in your calculations. The important thing not to do is try and push your power supply to its limits, as you can risk damaging your PC or worse.

The best Black Friday PC power supply deals

Here are the best deals we’ve found and some of the feature highlights for each product.

Be Quiet Power Supply Pc Best 650w Black Friday

be quiet! Straight Power 11 650W Platinum 80+ (modular)

Find it at Newegg for $74.90

This power supply is perfect for powering low to midrange systems and even features the higher Platinum efficiency rating. Normally these ratings cause big price hikes, which makes this deal a real steal. We can personally recommend this power supply, as it’s running in one of our gaming PCs right now and is completely silent. One limitation we noted is that the cables are a little shorter than we’d like, but everything is still long enough to accommodate our Corsair 5000x full tower build. The warranty is good for five years.

Evga Psu

EVGA SuperNova 850GT 850W Gold 80+ (modular)

Find it at Newegg for $109.99 (only $89.99 after rebate offer)

This is another power supply we’ve recently used, and it’s one of our favorites. It’s whisper quiet, and the cables are attractive and the perfect length for routing to improve cable management. With 850W to work with, you can plug in a power-hungry GPU and CPU without worry. This PSU comes with a seven year warranty from EVGA.

Msi Psu 750w

MSI MPG A750GF 750W Gold 80+ (modular)

Find it at Best Buy for $89.99

MSI offers an incredibly diverse range of products, and that includes power supplies. This 750W unit offers enough power delivery to handle most configurations and is a solid choice for powering hardware for years to come. MSI offers an impressive 10 year warranty, so you know it’s built to last.

Corsair Psu Black Friday Sale Best

Corsair RM650x 2018 650W Gold 80+ (modular)

Find it at Newegg for $79.99 with the coupon code applied (only $64.99 after rebate offer)

Corsair makes an exceptional number of power supply variants. Look no further than this one though if you just want to power a midrange build. The best part about this Black Friday deal is that anyone on the fence over whether or not they need a modular power supply can still afford this one. There’s also peace of mind in knowing it comes with a 10 year warranty which adds to the already incredible value.

Evga Power Supply Sale Deal Cheap

EVGA W1 Series 600W 80+ (non-modular)

Find it at Best Buy for $39.99

If you plan to build a low-end or lower-midrange budget system, this might just be the power supply you’re looking for. It’s nothing fancy. You’ll need to deal with the extra integrated cables and worse efficiency. But it will get the job done and save you some extra money to spend on the rest of your system, like those pricey graphics cards.

Seasonic Black Friday Psu Power Supply Best Deals Sale

Seasonic Focus PX850 850W Platinum 80+ (modular)

Find it at Best Buy for $130

Some people just want the best, and Seasonic arguably holds that crown at the moment. If you’re going big on a new high-performance PC, you simply shouldn’t skimp on your power supply. Graphics cards and other components like memory are using more power each generation, which means you may want to future proof somewhat with an 850W power supply like this one. You can expect top quality from Seasonic and benefit from the Platinum efficiency rating for just a little extra cash with this deal. The 10 year warranty means this power supply will carry you through multiple builds and save some cash in efficiency over those years as well.
