Best of the best: Lords of the Fallen’s armor sets

Below are the top armor sets that you can find in Lords of the Fallen. I have chosen each one as they are the top in a certain defense category — the absolute best in what they provide.

Tancred’s Set

Tancred’s set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 779
  • Holy: 164
  • Fire: 363
  • Wither: 258

Coming in at 81.2 weight, this set is very heavy, but you will essentially be unmovable. This is the greatest physical defense armor in Lords of the Fallen, and you’ll be able to shrug off almost all physical attacks. You will be hated by any other player you cross paths with.

To get this set, you’ll need to have the Remembrance of Tancred Master of Castigations and Reinhold the Immured to trade with Molhu in Skyrest Bridge.

Sovereign Protector Set

The Sovereign Protector set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 651
  • Holy: 291
  • Fire: 297
  • Wither: 248

This is the second-best option if you don’t want to or can’t wear / access Tancred’s Set. It also doesn’t require a boss fight to get. With still outstanding physical defense, it also provides a decent portion of holy defense, which is the only edge it has over the aforementioned set. It weighs 77.8, making it slightly more accessible.

To get the Sovereign Protector set, you must open the chest between some crates and barrels in the tunnel in the Sunless Skein.

Judge Cleric’s Set

Judge Cleric’s set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 446
  • Holy: 481
  • Fire: 149
  • Wither: 253

Weighing in at 65.2, this is a pretty hefty armor set for holy damage. The best armor piece for holy damage, however, with great physical defense, this could be a fantastic choice for Radiant builds who want to be nearly invulnerable to any other Radiant caster out there.

To get your hands on this set, you need the Remembrance of Judge Cleric The Radiant Sentinel to trade with Molhu.

Pieta’s Set

Pieta’s set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 376
  • Holy: 462
  • Fire: 168
  • Wither: 243

Weighing less than the Judge Cleric set, at 57.6, this could be a great second choice for holy defense. Also, you have access to it before you even get the ability to transpose items, allowing access for the early game. Being mostly medium armor, this is much more accessible for players.

To get this set, you need the Remembrance of Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal to trade with Molhu.

Ruiner Set

The Ruiner set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 432
  • Holy: 113
  • Fire: 459
  • Wither: 242

The best armor set for fire defense, the Ruiner set comes in at 59.8 weight. Its superior fire defense is certainly necessary for certain enemies and locations, so it will do you good to get ahold of. It’s also the bane of any Inferno builds out there.

To get the Ruiner set, you simply need to kill a bunch of the Ruiner enemy, as they have a chance of dropping each armor piece.

Infernal Enchantress Set

The Infernal Enchantress set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 177
  • Holy: 203
  • Fire: 381
  • Wither: 274

This set is the second-best when it comes to fire protection, which is sometimes simply needed. It only weighs 38.8, so it may be a great choice for lighter builds that need more buffering. Allowing you to be quick and nimble and defy Inferno builds, the Infernal Enchantress set deserves some spotlight.

This entire set can drop from the Infernal Enchantress boss.

Elianne the Starved’s Set

Elianne the Starved’s set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 349
  • Holy: 207
  • Fire: 203
  • Wither: 471

Finally, on to the wither portion of this list, this set weighs 56.5, making it accessible for most players. You will be able to combat all Umbral denizens as their wither effects hardly affect you, allowing you to easily regain all the health they wither away.

To get this set, you need to trade the Remembrance of Elianne the Starved with Molhu.

Cursed Set

The Cursed Set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 560
  • Holy: 216
  • Fire: 209
  • Wither: 417

With great wither and physical defense, the cursed set is the ultimate Umbral explorer’s armor. It does weigh 75.2 in total, but is a great piece to don when in the Umbral realm. Even other Umbral players will struggle to take you down, with their magic or with their sword.

To get this set, you’ll need to be in the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers. In Umbral, locate a bone bridge. Cross it and follow the stairs to the top. There will be an Umbral Belly for you to Soulflay to get this set.

Sacred Resonance Set In Lords Of The Fallen

Sacred Resonance Set

The Sacred Resonance set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 387
  • Holy: 335
  • Fire: 147
  • Wither: 235

Is it the greatest in any field? No, but it deserves an honorable mention as one of the best armor sets to find early on in the game. Found easily in Pilgrim’s Perch, behind a locked door that will require the key bought from Stomund, you can look absolutely incredible and defend equally as well. It is heavy but is honestly a fantastic set for the early game, earning it this title.

Condemned Set

The Condemned set, when wearing the full set, provides the following defense stats:

  • Physical: 121
  • Holy: 275
  • Fire: 275
  • Wither: 269

I know what you’re thinking. And yes, this is technically the worst armor set in the game. However, wearing this and succeeding will make you the best player of utmost skill. This set is the best for those wanting to be the best, and for those who are so good at dodging, they don’t have to worry about being hit.

You can access this set near the Vestige of Chabui. Climb up the ladder next to it and use your Umbral Lamp to pass through some steel bars.
