The next big battle royale has landed, and it pits players in teams of three against one another to snag the most cash in the allocated time.
This is The Finals, and within the game are a ton of abilities to choose from; we’re going to rank the best ones for players to use.
The Finals – Best Abilities Ranked
Abilities or Specializations are the unique ways that the body types differ from one another in The Finals, as all of them have their own unique ones that they can use.
For instance, the Medium build is the only class for the time being that has a healing ability, while the Light and Heavy have other team-based or movement ones.
In terms of which abilities players should use within The Finals, below are the best five in our opinion.
5. Evasive Dash – Light Build
Kicking off our list is one of the locked abilities that players will need to purchase for the Light body type; and it’s more so for solo play rather than overall team composition.
This ability allows players to quickly dash out of gunfire or to the objective, meaning they can easily escape enemies or get to the point faster. While it may seem like a mundane ability, it actually can be pretty valuable, primarily as the Light builds are so hard to hit in the first place, and adding more movement to them is going to cause mayhem around the map.
4. Guardian Turret – Medium Build
While The Finals is a game where its teams of three battling it out against each other on the map, the Medium build has access to the Guardian Turret ability that can be deadly if appropriately positioned.
This can be very helpful in specific scenarios where players are extracting cash via the cashout spots and need a little extra cover, or it can simply serve as a distraction. It also has a decent amount of health, so it will take the attention of at least one enemy when they see it, allowing for an easy elimination of them.
3. Cloaking Device – Light Build
Perhaps the ability that has frustrated players the most is the Light build’s Cloaking Device that they get access too, and for good reason. If you’ve played Overwatch 2, you’ll know that this ability is identical to Sombra’s new reworked passive, and it isn’t enjoyable to go up against in The Finals.
While you must stay out of combat to trigger the Cloaking Device, it allows players to get up close and personal with enemies before they even know it. Combine this with the Light builds access to melee weapons such as the Sword; this can be a deadly combo.
2. Mesh Shield – Heavy Build
Don’t worry, Heavy build players, we didn’t forget about you, and while your other abilities are helpful in their own ways, nothing compares to the Mesh Shield, mainly due to the situational benefits it has to offer.
This Mesh Shield will be immensely beneficial in specific scenarios where you are backed into a house, defending the cashout, and need some cover to last a few more seconds. Heavy players also have access to a Dome Device grenade, making this the ultimate defensive ability.
1. Healing Gun – Medium Build
In a game where healing is rare, Medium build is the only class within the game for the time being that has any form of healing, and this is why it ranks atop of our list.
It feels almost like a burden if your team of three doesn’t at least have one player using this ability, and it deserves a rank atop our list for this reason.
