It’s been six years since 2004’s Bejeweled 2 was released, but developer PopCap Games has today announced a new addition to the multi-million selling puzzle series.
Fans of figuring out how best to arrange collections of shiny jewels will be able to get their hands on Bejeweled 3 on 7 December. New additions to the title include some “secret” games like Ice Storm and Poker (not so secret now, huh) and some kind of new quest mode with “eleven mini-games” in it. Naturally, you can also expect the pre-existing modes and games to be “updated and expanded” along with high-definition graphics.
Bejeweled 3 will retail on PC for $20.00 USD from PopCap’s own site and will also be sold through other major digital download services. North America will be getting a physical retail release too.
Oddly, PocketGamer is reporting that mobile versions of Bejeweled 3 are “not even in development” at present. This, surely, can only be a matter of time.
