There’s a new Battlefield 3 trailer on patrol in the warzone of the internet, showing off the first part of some pre-alpha gameplay footage.
DICE have their eyes on the near-future, as this video is set in 2014 on the troublesome Iran/Iraq border. The squad we see here are euphemistically described as being on ‘pacification’ operations, but, as you can imagine, not all will go according to plan.
It’s good to get a look at some actual, sustained gameplay – even if there’s a little too much waiting around for AI buddies to open doors for you. Great to see WASD keyboard controls in a trailer too.
Though it ends on a cliffhanger, ‘Part 2’ is promised in around two weeks time on 16 March.
