Battlefield 3 – Best Prices

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Going very cheap if you’re ready to ditch Batman: Arkham City or Forza 4.
[Update: Battlefield 3 review now live.]
For many of us, this Friday’s European release of Battlefield 3 marks the biggest gaming day of 2011. While we wait for our review to work its through the critical machine, we thought we’d update you on the best UK prices for DICE’s near-future shooter.
HMV are offering the best trade-in price, letting you walk away with the game for a mere £2.99… the downside is that you’ll have to part ways with either Batman: Arkham City or Forza Motorsport 4. Both Arkham City and Forza 4 earned 9/10’s from us.
GAME have also got a rather tasty trade-in offer at £4.99 plus either Arkham City, Forza 4, Gears of War 3 or PES 2012. Umm… PES 2012 plus £4.99 for Battlefield 3? I smell a bargain.
Disappointingly, there are very few deals to be had from online retailers (unless they’re planning on unleashing a last minute tirade on us). The behemoth that is Amazon is listing £37.97, while Zavvi go slightly lower at £37.85. Play.com, on the other hand, plump for the closest to the RRP at £39.89.
The supermarkets have yet to show their hands properly, but we’ll be updating this page when they do.
As ever the PC edition is going for about £10 cheaper than the console. Amazon lists £29.91, Zavvi £29.85 and Play.com £32.99.
EA’s Origin store will let you download a copy for £39.99.
