Batman: Arkham Knight Cancelled for Linux and OSX

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

The “love story” about Batman: Arkham Knight and PC porting will probably last until the end of time. Refunds, patching after patching, cancellations and all in all a disastrous port that made various people in Warner Bros. feel bad about the final output.

Obviously, the following announcement on Steam should not surprise any PC gamer:

“We are very sorry to confirm that Batman: Arkham Knight will no longer be coming to Mac and Linux, (…) If you have pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Knight for Mac or Linux, please apply for a refund via Steam.”

It’s a pretty sad story and behind those technical problems, lies a game that was pretty good on other platforms, with an interesting story and the typical addictive gameplay. You should keep in mind though that Warner Bros. started selling DLC for it back in December, so for everyone who invested time and money on the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight, there is still some interesting extra content available on Steam.
