How to unlock the Baseball Bat melee weapon in Black Ops Cold War

Season Three in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is well under way. Recently, Season Three Reloaded introduced even more new content into the game. This includes the addition of new ’80s action heroes operators, the Die Hardpoint limited time mode allowing you to earn a Tactical Nuke, and more. In addition, it would not be a mid-season update without some new weapons. The Baseball Bat is the latest melee weapon to be added into Black Ops Cold War. To unlock it, you have to complete a challenge.

To unlock the Baseball Bat in Black Ops Cold War, you have to use a melee weapon to kill an enemy revealed by your Spy Plane, UAV, or Field Mic in 15 different completed matches. On the face of it, the challenge is relatively easy to complete. However, there are a few ways you can make the challenge easier if you find it too tedious.

To begin, you may need to adjust your class to make sure you have both the Spy Plane and Field Mic equipped. Then, you should use your gun until you have racked up enough score to have the Spy Plane available. Once you call in your Spy Plane, you will have a short window to get the kill you need with your melee weapon. Therefore, you may want to call it in when you are in a strong position to get a kill. To make things easier, use a smoke grenade to maneuver around the map with your melee weapon.

Getting a melee kill with a Field Mic

If you are trying to get a melee kill with a Field Mic, or you were unsuccessful in getting a kill while enemies were revealed by your Spy Plane, all you have to do is place the Field Mic on the map where enemies are likely to cross through. Playing around the Field Mic will increase your chances of getting the melee kill. You may want to hop into a smaller map to increase your chances of close-quarters engagements. For this challenge, you may decide to load into the Nuketown 24/7 playlist, for example.
