This Baldur’s Gate 3 player is shocked to find a new enemy after playing for 500 hours

Where did he come from?!

For how large Baldur’s Gate 3 is, it’s not surprising to hear how players are still discovering new things. This one Baldur’s Gate 3 player is shocked on Reddit to find a new enemy after playing for 500 hours.

It’s one of those enemies you’ll only see if you face an encounter a very certain way — even I’ve never heard of this Justiciar Crusader.

A BG3 player can’t believe they’ve never seen the Justiciar Crusader

If you’ve played enough of BG3, you’ve probably ventured into the Gauntlet of Shar already, or have at least heard of it. Well, did you know that there’s an enemy you can face off against only if you don’t defeat certain enemies in time?

Explained in this Reddit post, although this Baldur’s Gate 3 player has over 500 hours in the game, they’re shocked to find a brand new enemy. The Justiciar Crusader will appear if you don’t destroy the Umbral Tremors in time.

When I played this section myself, I remember having trouble defeating this group of enemies because Umbral Tremors would keep spawning. If you get rid of all the portals and enemies in time, you’ve completed the fight.

This player ended up turning invisible to watch an undead battle between the skeletons and the undead Justiciars. Suddenly, after a few turns passed while still watching the fight, the Justiciar Crusader spawned in with 200 health, which is quite a lot at the level you’re probably at. They’re an incredibly tall and terrifying figure, making this fight even more difficult.

This begs the question of what else do we not know yet about Baldur’s Gate 3? Are there sections or enemies we’ve still yet to uncover because players haven’t discovered everything? We’ll just have to wait and see once more players explore every nook and cranny BG3 has to offer.
