Baldur’s Gate 3 has two main pathways to go after Act One. Either you head through the Mountain Pass, or take the Underdark passage. If you find yourself at the Arcane Tower in the Underdark, you’ll eventually find a Power Generator on the bottom floor. It’s completely empty, and needs some juice. We’ll explain how to power this Arcane Tower Generator in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3: How to turn on Power Generator in Arcane Tower
The game itself won’t point anything out to you, so you’ll be stuck hunting down whatever you think could work. If you interact with the Generator, a pop-up appears asking you to combine something with it. How you can power the Arcane Tower Generator in Baldur’s Gate 3 is using Sussur Bloom.
If you want to make this elevator work to easily get to each floor of the tower, you’ll need to power the Generator. Luckily, there’s a Sussur Bloom sitting right outside the Generator room, which is on the lowest level of the tower.
They look like glowing blue flowers. There are a few around the Underdark, and if you pick one up, you’ll soon realize its weird effects. If you’re holding it, anyone in your vicinity will not be able to use magic. This plant has magic-nullifying effects, so you normally don’t want to be carrying it around.
You won’t be holding onto it for long. Head back inside the tower, and give it to the Generator. Just drag-and-drop the Sussur Bloom item from your inventory into the open slot, then select ‘Combine’. The Power Generator is now on, and the elevator is usable!
There is usually an Ascend and Descend button available, depending on the floor you’re on. Get every party member inside, then press the desired button to change floors. There are multiple stories to this tower, and you’ll most definitely want to reach the top floor. Just be wary of impending battle.
