Atlas Fallen Release date gameplay Monster Battle featured

Atlas Fallen is getting a May release date and gameplay trailer soon

Brave the desert sands in just a few months.

Last year, Deck13, the developer behind various Dark Souls-esque RPGs like Lords of the Fallen and The Surge, revealed a new game called Atlas Fallen. Taking place in a desert setting, Atlas Fallen also functions as an action RPG but features noticeably flashier combat than those other games. Yesterday morning, publisher Focus Entertainment posted a tweet revealing a May 16 release date for Atlas Fallen. Additionally, the publisher teased that players will have an opportunity to see a gameplay reveal trailer for the title sometime soon.

In the replies, a user tweeted that the May 16 release date lies around the same time as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s May 12 release date. This runs the risk of rendering Atlas Fallen overshadowed by Tears of the Kingdom, which stands as arguably the most anticipated release of the year. In response, Focus Entertainment joked that since Atlas Fallen comes out four days after Tears of the Kingdom, players of the latter could theoretically speedrun the game within those four days before jumping into the former.

“Rise from the dust.”

The Steam page for Atlas Fallen challenges players to “rise from the dust and liberate mankind from the oppression of corrupted gods.” The game sees players engaging in tense battles with legendary beasts by making use of transforming weapons and sand-based powers. Players can tackle these beasts either by themselves or with a partner as they find a playstyle that suits them. Along the way, players can roam around the desert sands and hunt for various secrets.

With the announcement of a release date and an upcoming gameplay video, those looking forward to Atlas Fallen have plenty of reason to stay tuned to Focus Entertainment’s social accounts for updates. Hopefully, Deck13 will find success with this new game once players get their hands on it in a few months.
