Overseas Trading with Azar
After capturing and upgrading your first Trade Post (i.e., Rathdown), you’ll return to Azar to talk about Overseas Trading opportunities.
The Overseas Trading panel is like a mini-quest or tally of sorts. All you need to do is send over the required resources and you’ll receive the rewards.
Most Overseas Trading opportunities provide a specific item (i.e., weapons, armors, ship designs, settlement designs, or tattoos). You’ll also obtain some supplies and Dublin reputation/XP.
Note: After sending over several shipments, Azar will run out of unique ones. Once you’ve reached this point, the remaining shipments will just require 100x of a particular resource. You’ll be given 40x silver for your troubles. In short, this is a passive way for you to obtain extra silver.
Your personal chest
There’s a large chest right in front of Azar and this contains all the resources that your Trade Posts have generated passively. Make sure you upgrade the Storehouse since this is the only way to increase the chest’s capacity for that resource.
Likewise, try to pick up the resources whenever you can since anything that exceeds the capacity will just disappear. Think of it like those mobile games with collection timers.
Dublin’s prosperity
As you complete more Overseas Trading requirements, Dublin’s renown will increase. This leads to even more Overseas Trading opportunities. The rewards that you can receive tend to be themed towards a particular region in the world.
- Level 1: Iberia
- Level 2: Egypt
- Level 3: Russia
- Level 4: Byzantium
Note 1: Each rank-up provides you with a piece of Dublin Champion Armor. Unfortunately, as mentioned in our review, it seems that some of these pieces were missing while I was playing the review build.
Note 2: Upon reaching level 5, you’ll unlock the “An Eye for an Eye” quest. Consider it as the finale to Azar’s backstory.
Anyway, in the next part of our guide, we’ll talk about the new armors and weapons that you can obtain via the Trade Post and Overseas Trading systems in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids.
