Ubisoft has released the delayed Assassin’s Creed: Unity Patch 5 for PC today, but players are still waiting for detailed patch notes. The change log posted up a couple of days ago is console focused and community staffer Mr_Shade states that proper PC notes will be shared “soon” (when else?)
For now, there’s the readme.txt update for Patch 5 (you can find this for yourself in C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game LaunchergamesAssassin’s Creed UnitySupportReadmeEnglish(US) or similar such location,) which gives a very brief overview.
Here’s what it has to say:
DLC outfits and weapons issues fixed
Fixed various Uplay Actions issues
Fixed minor Uplay Achievements issues
Minor render fixes
Minor UI fixes
Performance improvements
Nvidia SLI flickering fixed
Those last two are potentially very important, depending how accurate they turn out to be. Nvidia users have been complaining about flickering textures in Assassin’s Creed: Unity when running cards in SLI mode since the game’s release. “Performance improvements,” of course, could mean just about anything.
Let’s hope this update does improve matters a little more, though.
