We don’t normally do reverse confirmations, but since there was some confusion about this one: Assassin’s Creed: Rogue won’t be on PC. Details of the 360/PS3 title leaked early, before platforms were confirmed, which led some to suggest it might be on PC as well.
That would’ve meant four Assassin’s Creed titles released on PC in one year (Liberation HD, the Freedom Cry stand-alone, Unity and Rogue) which was apparently too many, even for Ubisoft.
The trailer and accompanying press bits for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue make it clear that this won’t be a PC release at launch. There’s always a chance it might show up later, of course. Never say never for the PC platform.
Update 13 October 2014: Turns out we’ll be getting a PC version in “early 2015.” Hooray.
So, in November we’ll get the one about trotting around the French revolution, but not the one about being a Templar ice-pirate. That’ll be later.
