Assassin’s Creed 3 is going to be almost completely redone from scratch according to Alex Hutchinson, the creative director of the game. According to Hutchinson, “Our goal was to have nothing from previous Assassins in the game. All of the animations for the character are fresh – which is kind of daunting when you think that Ezio had 6,000 [in ACII]”.
Additionally, the senior producer of the game, Francois Pelland stated, “Since ACI, it’s been the longest production for an AC game. It’s going to be three years when the game ships. We’ve invested so much redoing it from the ground up. It’s not just and evolution: it’s a revolution.”
This is refreshing to hear, especially since Assassin’s Creed has been relatively the same game since Assassin’s Creed II. Check it out yourself on October 30, 2012 when Assassin’s Creed 3 is released.
