Yesterday, we spotted some evidence indicating that Blizzard’s Overwatch was gearing up for a Mardi Gras event. Although the company didn’t confirm it at the time, it put up a blog post today announcing it is indeed happening. Ashe’s Mardi Gras Challenge launched earlier this afternoon, with plans for it to last through March 9th. During this time, players can unlock some new items for specific characters within the game.

By winning games and watching Overwatch matches on Twitch, you can earn a number of rewards. These include an “epic” Mardi Gras Ashe skin, as pictured above. However, there’s other stuff to attain as well.

By winning three games, you’ll earn the Mardi Grashe and Mardi B.O.B. player icons for use in your profile. Win six games and you’ll obtain the limited edition Gold Mask Spray for your character. For nine wins, you’ll grab the Mardi Gras Ashe skin.

As for watching Overwatch, you’ll gain some extra goodies as you keep tuning in to streams. Watch for two hours and you’ll earn a King Cake Ball Spray. Go the distance and watch four hours’ worth, and you’ll add the Semlor and Beads Sprays to your collection.

The trailer below explains how you can take part in the Mardi Gras Challenge when it comes to playing, as well as the rewards that are available.

There’s also an extra video that breaks down the Overwatch sprays available by watching matches on Twitch.

That said, you’ll need to follow some steps when it comes to watching. You’ll have to link your Twitch and Blizzard accounts, then tune in to participating streamers to begin logging hours. To learn more, check out the broadcast schedule.

And remember, there’s no party like a Mardi Gras party!

Overwatch is available now on Battle.net with both standard and Legendary editions.
