Arma 3 to receive ‘Community Alpha’

This article is over 12 years old and may contain outdated information

Arma 3 developers Bohemia Interactive have announced that a ‘Community Alpha’ version of the game will be open to players who want to sample (and provide feedback on) the title in its early stages. This will be launched some time after E3 2012, where Bohemia will be demonstrating the game.
“The Community Alpha will be quite limited in terms of the assets it includes, with the goal of providing enough content to experiment with the brand new bits of gameplay and technology. It also enables our passionate community to prepare their mods for the very latest version of the Real Virtuality engine,” writes Bohemia’s Dan Musil.
He also confirms that a wider beta release will be undertaken after the Community Alpha has concluded. Precise details of who will have access to the alpha will be finalised nearer to its launch (so, around May/June most likely).
Some new Arma 3 screenshots have been released too, which you can see below.
