Dragon’s Dogma 2: Are there missable quests?

So far, it seems there are a few missable quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but they’re difficult to pinpoint. You can easily figure out the time-sensitive quests, which can only be completed in a certain amount of time if you want to succeed. Otherwise, missable quests are much vaguer.

Technically, all time-sensitive quests are missable, but what about quests without the hourglass symbol? According to our research, side quests in one region may disappear from your quest log after venturing to a new region.

This is usually in moments when a character tells you to finish everything you have left to do in one region before entering the next. Captain Brant tells you this before you head to Battahl, and while my side quests were safe, some other players’ quests weren’t.

I’d advise you to finish all side quests in Vermund before you head to Battahl, and the same goes for the elven region after that. The game will warn you about completing unfinished business, so you’ll have time to do this.

Is there a point of no return?

Unfortunately, there is a point in Dragon’s Dogma 2 where all side quests become missable and will disappear. This happens at the end of The Guardian Gigantus quest.

At the end of this main quest, an NPC will ask you to rest before heading on. Resting here is the point of no return, and you’re free to finish all side content before resting. After that, all side content will be obsolete.

Upon making it to this point you’ll reach the end of the game and gain access to the endgame run. You can also totally miss out on the secret true ending of Dragon’s Dogma 2.
