Always online games, such as Genshin Impact, need always online servers to work. So, when they go down, so does the game, and it leaves the dedicated fanbase with nothing to do but go outside and touch some grass.
How to check Genshin Impact servers
If you’re trying to load into Gneshin Impact and the servers are down, you’re not going to get very far. The whole game relies on the serves to operate, so once they’re out, so are you. However, there are ways to check if your problems have to do with your side or if Genshin Impact is having some problems with theirs.
Check out DownDetector
One of the most tried and tested websites out there for server reports is DownDetector. This simple yet effective website will check servers and websites, including Genshn Impact, and report them as up or down. The website also has a feature in which people are able to report their own issues, logging the location they have reported it from.
This means that if the problem is local, you can feel some solidarity. It also tells you if it is only you with the issue.
Check Genshin Impact Twitter
If there is planned maintenance for the Genshin Impact servers, they will go down at set times. These downtimes are for maintenance and updates and will usually result in a better game. When this server work is planned, Genhin Impact Twitter will announce the event. Check on their Twitter to see what’s up.
Check your own connection
If you’re having a problem connecting to the Genhin Impact servers and there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the two previous sites, there may be a problem on your end. The best thing to do is reset your router at the source.
Head to your router and switch off the power, leaving it powered down for at least a minute. Switching it back on will reset a lot of the pathways and reconnect you to the internet. If you are still having connection issues after this, it may be time to contact your internet provider.
