The Desert biome is essentially the second level in LEGO Fortnite that you’ll go to after the Grassland biome, but you probably won’t be able to find a Desert biome. If it took you way too long to find a Desert biome like it did for me, here’s the answer to whether Dester biomes are bugged in LEGO Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite: Is there a Desert biome bug?
In my opinion and the opinion of many others, there is currently a Desert biome bug in LEGO Fortnite. I thought I just got an extremely bad seed, which still might be the case, but other players have reported Desert biomes not appearing in their worlds as well.

Constant-Research-812 on Reddit also said he spent hours looking for a Desert biome and found nothing. I did the same thing; I spent real-world hours running around the map (which is massive) and I only found Grasslands, rivers, lakes, and Frostland biomes.
There are hundreds of millions of world seeds in LEGO Fortnite and there may be a few that don’t generate enough Desert biomes, but to have an overwhelming amount of players report that Desert biomes are too hard to find means that there’s a flaw with the game and it needs to be fixed.
How to find Desert biomes in LEGO Fortnite
My advice for finding Desert biomes is to look at the horizon for big pillars of rocks. Other than that, sweep the map in broad strokes — if you see nothing but Frostland biome in the distance, circle until you see something else.
The best thing you can do at the start of a Survival game in LEGO Fortnite is to run around the map and look for a location that has Grassland, Desert, and Frostland nearby. Once you’ve found a relatively flat area matching this description, settle down and start building your base.
For now, my only advice is to find Blast Powder and create a vehicle to get to the Desert biome quicker. I’m praying for Epic Games to fix the number of Desert biome locations because, to me, they are simply too few and far between.
