Competition is heating up between the mobile players. Apple, Google, and Amazon alike are now fighting over time exclusivity and other deals for the big smartphone games

Apple raised the stakes when they paid for time exclusivity on Cut The Rope and Plants Versus Zombies 2, after feeling the heat from the increased competition. Google has also offered deals to developers, this time to add extra Android branding related content, and to get featured in the Play Store. In turn, Amazon itself is now offering exclusive deals for developers as well.

You may ask, then why isn’t Microsoft doing anything like it for Windows 8 Phone? Actually, it’s not quite clear yet that this affects what phones people buy. For the moment, at least, it seems the people making the most money out of this are the developers.
