Apex Legends third person mode

Apex Legends data-mining reveals a possible third-person mode

Third party in the third person.

Apex Legends is no stranger to quirky and fun limited-time modes. The Mirage Holo-Day Bash event introduced Mirage Express, which is a respawn game mode. Now, it appears Respawn Entertainment is working on a unique, third-person limited-time mode.

Apex Legends Firing Range Easter Egg Hint

Master Miner

That1MiningGuy is very well known in the Apex community as a master data-miner. He has revealed – and been correct about – almost all upcoming Apex modes and legends. His most recent dig revealed game files that point towards a third-person mode being added to the game. This find was actually reinforced by an easter egg found in the firing range, which allowed the player to get a third-person camera after completing a series of steps.

A mode like this would, without a doubt, offer a fresh take on Apex. Third-person requires a very different play style than first, and let’s be honest, it would be cool to see our legendary skins in action. However, Respawn has a track record of only offering these modes for a limited time. Duos was a very popular and highly requested mode, but despite its success, it did not stay in the game permanently.

Still, perhaps this third-person mode could serve as the beginning of a change in that trend.

When will this drop?

There isn’t a confirmed date on when this would take place in Apex, but we can use some confirmed dates to speculate. Season four will not launch until early February. That leaves a very large gap between the Mirage Holo-Day Bash event and the start of season four. That space could be perfect for Respawn to introduce this new mode. Of course, this mode is only rumored at the moment, but That1MiningGuy has been spot-on in the past. We will just have to wait and see what Respawn decides to do in the coming months.
