It’s been a rough time for anyone who’s been looking to buy a new graphics card over the last year or so. The problems have been numerous, from shortages of supply to shipping issues, and so much more besides that. Now that there are some better opportunities for gamers to snag powerful graphics cards, it’s important to know how prices are changing for certain models, as well as where to buy. In order to help you in your buying quest, we’ve put together some info to help you find an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or 6900 XT graphics card at the lowest market price.
It’s not uncommon to see price cuts like these across various retailers. Usually, it’s due to AIBs or distributors wanting to get some stock out the door. There’s also the fact that the graphics card market has been a little all over the place when it comes to pricing and availability. Regardless, it’s good to see some lower prices on graphics cards at last, even if some of these list prices could be a lot better.
Slow, but steady price changes for the 6700 XT
We’ll start things off with listings for the Radeon RX 6700 XT. It’s a powerful graphics card that sits in the mid range for gaming and it’s one that you should definitely take a look at. Now the kicker here is that these prices aren’t necessarily the greatest. The MSRP for the Radeon RX 6700 XT is $479 USD, and many of these offers are way above that. For example, Newegg currently has a 6700 XT from ASRock with a price tag of $599.99. Then there’s Best Buy which sells a 6700 XT Gigabyte model for $674.99. There are also big price cuts on 6700 XT models by PowerColor if you’re able to reach a Micro Center. These include the $699 Red Devil model and $599 Fighter models.
These prices really aren’t the best, and are still a ways off from the MSRP. However, it does show that prices are finally improving. More importantly, these cards are in stock if you suddenly have a hardware failure and need to replace your graphics card. Hopefully these prices can get even lower as the year goes on, but for now, this is what we have to work with.
There’s more value in the RX 6900 XT
Things are looking a bit better when it comes to AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT. This is the company’s premium high-end graphics card, and it offers up a ton of performance for high resolution or high refresh gaming. This card was already expensive when it came out though, with an MSRP of $999. And it certainly isn’t getting cheaper than that anytime soon. That being said, the prices here are much fairer and easier to understand. Kicking things off with Newegg, you can grab a 6900 XT by MSI for $1,299. Also at Newegg, you can grab the 6900 XT by Sapphire for $1,299 as well. And finally, at B&H Photo, you can grab a 6900 XT from XFX for $1,349.99.
These are some eye-watering prices for sure, but not terrible in terms of mark-ups. Sure, it’s still a lot of money to spend on a graphics card, but unfortunately, that’s the way it is right now. In exchange for all that dough, you’ll at least get stellar performance out this AMD graphics card.
Shopping for graphics cards is undeniably still pretty tricky, even with price cuts on AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 XT and 6900 XT. Hopefully things are looking up though, and there are rumors a Radeon RX 6000 Series refresh is around the corner.
