A number of negative customer reviews of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have been removed from Amazon.co.uk.According to one poster on the Amazon forums, over 170 one star reviews of the game have since disappeared from the game’s listing, prompting concerns over publisher interference in the Amazon review process.“170+ one star reviews were here this afternoon. Now, they’ve all been deleted, no doubt at the behest of Activision,” wrote one user in the Discussion section.“Shame on you Amazon- you tried to pull this stunt with Spore and were forced to put them back. I suggest you do the same here before you get embroiled in the boycott.”The negative reviews apparently focused on Infinity Ward’s decision to drop dedicated server support from the PC version of the highly-anticipated shooter sequel, angering many PC users. What do you think about the reviews being removed? Is it due to publisher pressure? Or maybe you think it’s unfair for Amazon to allow user reviews of a game which hasn’t been released yet? Let us know in the comments section below.
