It’s just like that scene from Batman Begins, only coloured in.

Activision and Beenox have released a trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the forthcoming wall-crawling action game. Other than showing a full minute of gameplay footage, it introduces Kraven the Hunter.

Kraven will apparently have a rather large role in the game, and judging by the gravelly voiceover, he’s aiming to take on the role of Spider-Man’s mentor. Only probably evil. And you’ll likely start out with him helping you and then he’ll ask you to do morally ambiguous things, and then move onto morally irredeemable things, and then you’ll fight him. Just at a guess.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is due out this spring. Hopefully, it will be the first Spider-Man game deserving of the word “amazing” since Spider-Man 2, but I’m not holding my breath just yet. So many broken dreams.
