The analysts at Goldman Sachs have raised Activision Blizzard’s share rating based on a Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 release by 2020.

Goldman Sachs analyst Christopher Merwin wrote in a note to clients on Tuesday, “We are raising our 2019 and 2020 estimates on account of a robust multi-year pipeline of games — Diablo, Overwatch 2, and a Blizzard mobile title — which we don’t think Street estimates are fully taking into account.”

Merwin also predicts that Diablo 4 will be released in 2019 and sell 15 million units.

This is of course just a prediction and there has been no mention of a new Diablo. It’s highly likely there is one in the works based on job postings we’ve seen appear over the past twelve months.

If Blizzard is targetting a 2019 release for Diablo 4 then next year would be the ideal time to announce it to the world otherwise they will run out of promotional time.

This is, of course, all speculation. With Overwatch doing so well at the moment, an Overwatch 2 seems more unlikely but you just never know with Blizzard.
