Stardew Valley: How to get Trinkets

You can obtain Trinkets in Stardew Valley by unlocking the Combat Mastery through the new Mastery system. The Combat Mastery is accessible by getting to the max Rank on all your five skills, and then entering the hidden door in the Cindersnap Forest.

Inside this cave, you’ll find the Combat Mastery, which you can unlock by gaining 10,000 Mastery Points. Mastery Points are just normal EXP from any skill, so it doesn’t matter which skills you’re engaging in, they all turn into the same Mastery Points. Upon unlocking the Combat Mastery, you’ll receive these three rewards:

  • Anvil: Allows you to re-forge trinkets to randomize their stats.
  • Mini-Forge: A mini dwarvish forge.
  • Unlocks a new equipment slot for Trinkets.

Now that you have the Trinket slot in your inventory, you can get Trinkets by adventuring in the mines and defeating monsters. Trinkets will now be possible drops in the mines or Skull Caverns, so keep an eye out for them.

All Trinkets in Stardew Valley

Now that players have had time to explore the 1.6 update, they’ve discovered these Trinkets and how they benefit the player. Here are all the Trinkets discovered so far:

  • Fairy Box: Summons a level [X] fairy companion that heals you in combat.
  • Magic Quiver: Shoots a magic arrow at nearby enemies every [X] seconds, dealing [X] damage.
  • Parrot Egg: Summons a level [X] parrot companion who grants you a [X] chance to find gold coins when slaying monsters.
  • Frog Egg: Summons a hungry drog companion who eats nearby enemies.
  • Basilisk Paw: Makes you immune to debuffs.
  • Ice Rod: Shoots an orb of ice every [X] seconds, freezing any enemies in its path for [X] seconds.
  • Golden Spur: Critical strikes give you a speed boost for [X] seconds.
  • Magic Hair Gel: Your hair shimmers with all the colors of a prismatic shard.

Since you can re-roll these Trinkets with the Anvil, the stat results can vary depending on the drop. That’s why there’s an [X] instead of a fixed number. You can also only equip one at a time, so choose wisely depending on which effects would benefit you the most!

Trinkets aren’t the only reward for gaining a Mastery, you also have Golden Animal Crackers and the Statue of Blessings.
