What is the Slay Ride Resurgence mode in COD MW3 Warzone?

Slay Ride Resurgence is a special limited-time mode in Warzone featuring an Urzikstan under siege by Santa. A handful of features help Slay Ride Resurgence stand out from previous iterations of Resurgence:

  • Deck the Halls: Festive trees mark spots on the map where you must hold these positions against other Operators
  • Keys can be obtained by holding your position at Deck the Halls trees, opening a portal to fight Zombie Juggernaut Santa
  • Snowballs are lethal throwing weapons in this mode, marked by snowflake icons on the Tac Map
  • Slay Ride: The namesake of this mode features a wintery festive spin on the previous train raids in Warzone. You can spot it on the Tac Map going along the tracks, so hop on!

This is all exciting, but one might notice key similarities to other Warzone limited-time challenges.

All Slay Ride Resurgence similarities & differences from other events in Warzone

Slay Ride Resurgence shares similar elements with other recent modes, particularly Operation Nightmare, but with some noteworthy differences:

  • You can revive comrades over time while surviving like in regular Resurgence but with unique themed rewards
  • While Deck the Halls sounds understandably like the Butcher challenge, it’s more like a capture point against Operators
  • You can decorate and upgrade the trees you find to get increasingly better loot
  • Snowball fights are a playful yet scarily lethal difference between Slay Ride Resurgence and other Warzone modes
  • Slay Ride is a lot like Ghost Train, although this all takes place on the Urzikstan map, where you previously only found The Knight such as in MWZ
  • Santa rewards well-behaved Operators on this festive locomotive, so don’t be too naughty!
  • This mode will help tie into the ’12 Days of CODMAS’ event

There’s something for everybody to get into the mood with this mode. Slay Ride Resurgence is the sugarplum adrenaline shot you need whether you’re celebrating or enjoying an especially merry Monday!
