Let’s combat the randomness of the maps with some beneficial modifiers. Here are all Scarabs – new and updated – in Path of Exile Necropolis.

Path of Exile: All Scarabs in Necropolis Expansion

The new Necropolis expansion introduced many changes besides its seasonal content. One of the major things that was overhauled is the Scarabs. These are map fragments that will modify non-unique maps and, thanks to the Necropolis release, they have been reworked allowing for more diversity in their effects. Scarabs are obtainable through random drops and can also be found in Safehouses of the Immortal Syndicate.

Said diversification allowed Path of Exile to present a large amount of Scarabs that will allow for targeting farming of currency and League Mechanics or content. Let’s take a look at every Scarab in Path of Exile post the Necropolis expansion release.

Path of Exile: Reliquary Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Reliquary Scarab	Build for yourself a hoard a Dragon would envy. If they were real.	100% increased Unique Items found in Area.
Reliquary Scarab of Overlords	Pry it from their cold dead hands.	Unique Monsters in Area drop an additional Unique Item.
Reliquary Scarab of Vision	He foresees great wealth in your future.	Area contains The Nameless Sear.

Path of Exile: Sulphite Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Sulphite Scarab	Delve into darkness in search of the truth…	Area contains Niko.
Sulphite Scarab of Greed	There is no such thing as “Enough.”	Map owner gains 150%& more Sulphite.
Sulphite Scarab of Fumes	When the land itself is sick, even the very ground rots and spills forth.	Sulphite found in Map Area releases Enraging Fumes. Monsters affected by Enraging Fumes have 500% increased Item Quantity. Sulphite in your maps is guarded by Monsters from The Azurite Mine.

Path of Exile: Divination Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Divination Scarab	Fate can be… encouraged.	150% increased Divination Card found in Area.
Divination Scarab of Curation	Discernment is the key to attaining true control.	10% more Divination Cards found in Area per different Favoured Maps. Divination Card drops in Area are replaced by those of your Favoured Maps.
Divination Scarab of Completion	Pursue thy fate with grit, for it may arrive sooner than you think.	Divination Cards which drop in Area have a 20% chance to drop as a full stack instead.

Path of Exile: Torment Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Torment Scarab	Their crimes in life haunt you in death.	Area is haunted by 5 additional Tormented Spirits.
Torment Scarab of Peculiarity	Now there’s a blood-curdling wail I haven’t heard before!	Tormented Spirits in Area are replaced with unusual variants.
Torment Scarab of Release	If it could end, it wouldn’t really be damnation.	Tormented Spirits in Area have a 25% chance to be set free when Possessed Monsters are slain,

Path of Exile: Anarchy Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Anarchy Scarab	On Wraeclast, it’s kill or be killed.	Area contains 4 additional Rogue Exiles.
Anarchy Scarab of Gigantification	The consumption of sulphite can cause strange growth.	Rogue Exiles in Area have a 30% chance to be replaced with a Rogue Giant.
Anarchy Scarab of Partnership	Among exiles, alliances shift and change constantly.	Rogue Exiles in Area have a 50% chance to appear in pairs.

Ritual Scarab of Selectiveness	Pick and choose which sacred tenets you prefer…	Rerolling Favours at Ritual Altars in Area has no cost the first 2 times. Ritual Altars in Area allow rerolling Favours 1 additional time.
Ritual Scarab of Recognition	Names carry meaning. Meaning carries power.	Unique enemies slain at Ritual Altars in Area grant 200% more Tribute.
Ritual Scarab of Abundance	He draws ever closer…	Rituals in Area offer 100% increased Favours.

Path of Exile: Harvest Scarabs

Harvest Scarab	Hidden routes lead to vales of shadow and light…	Area contains the Sacred Grove.
Harvest Scarab of Doubling	A good season brings bounty.	Lifeforce dropped by Harvest Monsters in Area is duplicated. Harvest Monsters in Area have 100% more Life.
Harvest Scarab of Cornucopia	The taller the tree, the better the fruit.	If Area contains the Sacred Grove, it will contain up to 1 addition Tier 4 seed of each type, if possible.

Bestiary Scarab of the Herd	The First Ones ran rampant and free in the forests of old.	Area contains 5 additional Red Beasts if it contains Einhar.
Bestiary Scarab of Duplicating	“What’s better than on captured beast, exile?”	Create a copy of Beasts captured in Area.
Bestiary Scarab of the Shadowed Crow	The Nameless begin to slip their bonds of nonexistence…	Area contains The Black Mórrigan if it contains Einhar.

Influencing Scarab of the Shaper	A sea of stars awaits those who dare imagine.	Adds Shaper Influence outcome to Area.
Influencing Scarab of the Elder	Beyond the light lies only the void.	Adds Elder Influence outcome to Area.
Influence Scarab of Hordes	Ideas cannot be contained.	Influenced Monster Packs in Area have 40% increased Pack Size.
Influencing Scarab of Conversion	Memories resound in the Atlas, echoing forever.	Tier 14+ Maps found in Area have a chance to drop as Shaper Guardian, Elder Guardian, Conqueror or Unique Synthesised Maps instead.

Harbinger Scarab	Their troops came in numbers uncountable and from lands unknown.	Area contains 3 additional Harbingers.
Harbinger Scarab of Discernment	There’s no accounting for what some will hoard.	Harbingers in Area drop rarer currency shards. Harbingers in Area drop a single type of currency shard.
Harbinger Scarab of Regency	The truly noble wage war from the front.	Harbingers in Area have a 50% chance to be replaced by a powerful Harbinger Boss.
Harbinger Scarab of Warhoards	For those who can leverage it, war can be as much a machine of profit as it is death.	Currency shards dropped by Harbingers in Area are duplicated.

Scarab	Description	Effect
Abyss Scarab	They search forever for more souls to drag to the dark.	Area contains an additional Abyss.
Abyss Scarab of Multitudes	They ceaselessly sprout from the murderous earth.	Abysses in Area spawn 75% increased Monsters.
Abyss Scarab of Empitness	They stare back, with hollow hypnotizing eyes.	Rare Abyss Monsters in Area have a 50% chance to drop an additional Rare Item with an Abyssal Socket.
Abyss Scarab of Edifice	Their empires ghastly and gaunt glitter with gold.	Abysses in Area that do not lead to an Abyssal Depths lead to a Stygian Spire Abysses in Area spawn Hoards as they travel.

Scarab	Description	Effect
Essence Scarab	It is perfectly safe, the creatures trapped inside couldn’t possibly still be living.	Area contains 2 additional Essences.
Essence Scarab of Ascent	A more perfect facet cannot be achieved.	Essences found in Area are a tier higher.
Essence Scarab of Stability	With the right tools and a precise hand, the manipulation of the crystals can be made predictable.	Using a Remnant of Corruption in Area can only result in upgrading or transforming Essences.
Essence Scarab of Calcification	The crystals… can spread?	All Rare monsters in Area are imprisoned by Essences.

Path of Exile: Domination Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Domination Scarab	A simple exchange. Blood for power.	Area contains 2 additional Shrines.
Domination Scarab of Abnormality	What could possibly have been sacrificed to achieve.. this?	Area contains an additional Unusual Shrine.
Domination Scarab of Teachings	Whatever the prize, learn from it.	Shrine buffs in Area also grant 30% increased Experience gained.
Domination Scarab of Terrors	Whatever the prize, fight for it.	Shrines in Area are guarded by an additional Map Boss. Modifiers to the Final Map Boss also apply to these guardians.

Path of Exile: Incursion Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Incursion Scarab	Uncover the secrets of the Vaal one incursion at a time.	Area contains Alva.
Incursion Scarab of Invasion	A gate, once opened, may swing in either direction.	Area contains 12-16 additional packs of Incursion Monsters.
Incursion Scarab of Champions	Only the best served in Atzoatl.	Incursions in Area have a 35% chance for all Monsters to be at least Magic. Incursions in Area have 15% increased Pack Size.
Incursion Scarab of Timelines	They say if you go far enough, you will meet yourself.	Final Architect slain in Area will drop an Itemised Temple. Itemised Temples dropped in Area are generated based on current temple layout, but with randomised room tiers.

Path of Exile: Betrayal Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Betrayal Scarab	The Syndicate must pay for what they have done.	Area contains Jun.
Betrayal Scarab of Intelligence	Those that can never die fear only pain.	150% Increased Intelligence gain from Immortal Syndicate targets encountered in Area.
Betrayal Scarab of Reinforcements	Move and countermove.	Immortal Syndicate Members in Area have 50% increased chance to be accompanied by reinforcements.
Betrayal Scarab of Perpetuation	They Syndicate has learned how to make their own scarabs…	Defeated Immortal Syndicate targets in Area have a 50% chance to drop an additional Scarab.

Path of Exile: Blight Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Blight Scarab	The tendrils creep and grow…	Area contains a Blight Encounter.
Blight Scarab of Bounty	A ghastly fruit, but twice as sweet.	Blight Chests in Area have a 20% chance to be openable again.
Blight Scarab of Oils	Strike deep into the pulse of the fungus.	Blight Oils found in Area are 1 tier higher.
Blight Scarab of Blooming	Once a century, the Blight spills forth…	Blight Encounters in Area have up to 3 additional Unique Bosses. Unique enemies in Blight Encounters have 100% increased life. Tier 14+ Blighted Mpas found in Area drop as Blight-Ravaged Maps instead.

Path of Exile: Breach Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Breach Scarab	They are never far.	Area contains 2 additional Breaches.
Breach Scarab of the Dreamer	Dreams quickly sour into Nightmare.	Breaches in Area will always belong to Chayula.
Breach Scarab of Lordship	Their kingdoms always seek expansion.	Breaches in Area each contain a Breachlord.
Breach Scarab of Splintering.	Bit by bit.	Breach Monsters in Area drop 50% more Breach Splinters. Clapsed Hands in Area drop 50% more Breach Splinters.
Breach Scarab of Snares	Care where you step.	Breaches in Area have 5 to 10 additional Clasped Hands. Clasped Hands in Area are guarded by a rare Breach Monster.

Path of Exile: Cartography Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Cartography Scarab	The Atlas holds endless secrets…	50% increased Mpas found in Area.
Cartography Scarab of Ascension	Climb ever higher in the search for truth.	Maps found in Area are a tier higher, up to Tier 16.
Cartography Scarab of Singularity	Some regions of the Atlas never change.	A Unique Map will drop from the Final Map Boss.
Cartography Scarab of Corruption	Corruption bleeds between realities.	Non-Unique Mpas found in Area are Corrupted with 8 Modifiers.
Cartography Scarab of Duplication	Where you have been, there shall you be again.	Maps found in Area have a 30% chance to be Duplicated.

Path of Exile: Ambush Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Ambush Scarab	Is it still an ambush if you’re expecting it?	Area contains 5 additional Strongboxes.
Ambush Scarab of Hidden Compartments	Beneath the obvious lies the real treasure…	15% Chance for Strongboxes in Area to be openable again.
Ambus Scarab of Potency	The locksmith dreams of building a better box.	75% Increased effect if Explicit Modifiers on Strongboxes in Area.
Ambush Scarab of Containment	The silence belies lurking doom.	Area contains many additional Strongboxes. Area’s inhabitants are lying in ambush.
Ambush Scarab of Discernment	A keen eye sorts the worthy from the chaff.	Strongboxes in Area are more likely to be rarer varieties.

Expedition Scarab	They come from across the sea in search of ancient truth.	Area contains an Expedition Encounter.
Expedition Scarab of Runefinding	That which came form the stars longs to return.	Expedition Encounters in Area have 100% increased number of Runic Monster Markers.
Expedition Scarab of Verisium Powder	A properly refined pinch makes all the difference.	Expedition Encounters in Area have 20% increased number of Explosives. 80% increased Explosive Radius.
Expedition Scarab of the Skald	Lead from the front, and your men will follow you anywhere.	Expedition Encounters in Area are lead by Dannig.
Expedition Scarab of Archaeology	Curiosity leads to wisdom. Wisdom leads to power.	Remnants in Expedition Encounters in Area have 2 additional Suffixes and Prefixes.

Legion Scarab	What good is peace to be a warrior?	Area contains an additional Legion Encounter.
Legion Scarab of Officers	Even a battlefield has middle management.	Legion Factions in Area have 5 additional Sergeants.
Legion Scarab of Command	Cut off the head and the snake will perish.	Legion Factions in Area are accompanied by a General.
Legion Scarab of The Sekhema	Storms of blood-stained sand will drown the enemies of the Maraketh.	Legion Encounters in Area always contain the Maraketh Faction.
Legion Scarab of Eternal Conflict	An eternity of blood. Glorious.	Legion Monsters in Area can be broken out of Stasis multiple times.

Path of Exile: Beyond Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Beyond Scarab	The silent wall and the raging storm oppose the endless swarm.	Slaying enemies close together in Area can attract monsters from beyond this realm.
Beyond Scarab of Haemophilia	Reality itself begins to bleed.	Beyond Portals in Area have 30% increased Merging Radius.
Beyond Scarab of Resurgence	They hunger.	Beyond Bosses in Area are enraged on low life. Beyond Bosses in Area drop 100% increased Tainted Currency. Beyond Portals in Area have 30% increased chance to spawn a Unique Boss.
Beyond Scarab of Corruption	Their very flesh exudes corruption.	Items dropped by Beyond Demons in Area are Corrupted.
Beyond Scarab of the Invasion	The fated hour is almost nigh.	Unique Monsters slain in Area create 8 to 12 additional Beyond Portals.

Path of Exile: Ultimatum Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Ultimatum Scarab	A challenge may be requested at any time.	Area contains an Ultimatum Encounter.
Ultimatum Scarb of Bribing	A trial is only as incorruptible as its judge.	Ultimatum Monsters grant 150% increased Experience. Ultimatum Encounters grant rewards as though you completed 2 additional Rounds.
Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling	Victory is meaningless, failure will be mocked.	Ultimatum Encounters in Area will always lead to a Unique Boss if possible.
Ultimatum Scarab of Catalysing	Most regret finding out how the powder is made.	Ultimatum Encounters in Area will only offer Catalysts as rewards.
Ultimatum Scarab of Inscription	There is always a wager to be made… if you can afford it.	Ultimatum Encounter rewards in Area offering Catalysts will offer Inscribed Ultimatums instead.

Path of Exile: Delirium Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Delirium Scarab	A perfectly innocuous scarab that does nothing at all.	Area contains a Mirror or Delirium.
Delirium Scarab of Mania	They’re so loud! Why are they so loud?! All you can do is scream!	Delirium Reward Meters fill 100% faster in Area.
Delirium Scarab of Paranoia	If it seems too good to be true…	Delirium Encounters in Area generate 2 additional reward types.
Delirium Scarab of Neuroses	Toothy grins shine in the dark.	Delirium Encounters in Area contain all Unique Delirium Bosses. Can only be used with Tier 11+ Maps.
Delirium Scarab of Delusions	What are you talking about? The Atlas was always like this.	Maps found in Area have Layers of Delirium.

Path of Exile: Misc Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Scarab of Monstrous Lineage	The bloodlines evolve faster than they can be culled.	40% Increased Magic Pack Size.
Scarab of Adversaries	They stand against you with equal enmity.	Area contains 4 additional Packs with Mirrored Rare Monsters.
Mysterious Scarab	They chitter, they crawl, they bite… and they swarm.	Area contains 40-60 additional Clusters of Mysterious Barrels.
Scarab of Hunted Traitors	Nothing is as unforgivable.	Area contains Hunted Traitors.
Scarab of Stability	Astonishing! A means to sustain the connection…	Portals to Area have a 50% chance to not be consumed on use.

Path of Exile: Horned Scarabs

Scarab	Description	Effect
Horned Scarab of Bloodlines	Only the hardiest survive. Only survivors perpetuate.	All Monster packs in Area are at least Magic.
Horned Scarab of Nemeses	Glory draws ever tighter its own doom.	Rare Monsters in Area have 2 additional Modifiers.
Horned Scarab of Preservation	We must not forget those who came before.	Other Scarabs are not consumed on use.
Horned Scarab of Awakening	The Atlas can be anything you want… and everything you want.	You can select one Imbued crafting option on the Map Device.
Horned Scarab of Tradition	To the strongest, prosperity be thine.	All Rare Monsters in Area have at least one Reward Modifier. Player Modifiers to Item Rarity and Item Quantity do not apply in Area.
Horned Scarab of Glittering	Wealth flows to those that shine brightest.	Players in Area gain increased Item Rarity and Item Quantity for each Monster slaine recently, up to 200% and 100% respectively.
Horned Scarab of Pandemonium	Punctured dreams bleed into the mind.	Monster packs in Area have a 15% chance to be replaced by a random Atlas Boss. Modifiers to the Final Map Boss also apply to these Atlas Bosses.

As said above, all of these Scarabs will be obtainable by random drops. Naturally, the rarest Scarabs will not drop as often, so you are bound to do some Scarab farming eventually. You can use the Betrayal League to target Scarab drops as well as other League Mechanics like Ritual or Incursion. Be that as it may, just make sure to keep farming consistently and hope the RNG overlords shine upon you in Path of Exile Necropolis.
