All requirements to start the Salvation’s Edge Raid in The Final Shape

There are a few mandatory requirements to enter the Salvation’s Edge Raid. As far as we know, there’s no way to bypass any of these, and there’s a lot to do in a short space of time:

  • Complete The Final Shape Campaign
  • Complete the Wild Card Exotic Quest
  • Reach Light Level 1965

It’s worth mentioning that the 1965 Light Level requirement is for the Raid’s Contest Mode. This time-limited mode only lasts for the first 48 hours. Once the Contest mode expires, the Light Level requirement will likely drop, although we don’t know the exact numbers.

I won’t spoil anything, but the Wild Card Exotic Quest is available after you see the endreward is so good that every Guardian will want it.

If you’re struggling to hit the level requirement, you get a complete set of 1965 Level gear for a Legend campaign clear.

Do I need anything else to become raid-ready for Salvation’s Edge?

The prerequisites above are technically all that’s required to access the raid, but it never hurts to be ready. It’s better to be overprepared, so bring a selection of weapons that span a broad range. Specialist picks like Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launchers can really shine in a raid environment.

The Brave Arsenal still slaps, and weapons like the Edge Transit grenade launcher are some of the highest DPS guns in the game.

It’s also a good idea to make sure you have every ability and Fragment unlocked. You can’t be too careful and you never know what to expect.

Raids are the home of the most complicated and convoluted content in Destiny 2. Mind benders like the Jail in the Warlords Ruin dungeon will pale to what you’ll face in the Salvation’s Edge raid, so bring everything you need and more.
