Field Upgrades will make this a lot easier, and we’ve got you covered with what they are and how to unlock them. I think they are all cool and unique, so you’re in for a treat.

All Field Upgrades In MW3 Zombies

Field Upgrades are something Call of Duty fans have become accustomed to over the years, as they were first implemented during MW 2019, and have stayed within the game since. However, the Field Upgrades in MWZ are something new entirely.

With them making the transition over to Zombies this time around, it’ll be interesting to see how fairly they shake up alongside some of the returning features, such as Wonder Weapons.

Regarding which ones are making their way over to Zombies, they’re viewed below, thanks to the latest blog by Call of Duty:

  • Tesla Storm
    • Creates an aura of lightning around your player and further connects to allies
    • Damage enemies and other objects
  • Aether Shroud
    • You gain invincibility for a duration of time
  • Frost Blast
    • Causes a freezing blast to pulse from your body, and will further slow enemies who run nearby
  • Healing Aura
    • All players will be healed
  • Frenzied Guard
    • You and your party will attract all enemies for 10 seconds, but your armor will be regenerated for each kill
  • Energy Mine
    • An explosive mine will spawn — triggering it will cause massive AOE damage

All of these sound fantastic for Zombies, and ones that can be seen as vital are certainly Healing Aura and Frenzied Guard, as you can never have too many heals in Zombies!

With there being six Field Upgrades players can use in Zombies this year, one is going to want to know how to unlock them, and for the time being, there appears to be only one way.

You’ll start with one Field Upgrade, Energy Mine, and you’ll need to unlock the other five by ranking up, which can be done in Multiplayer or Zombies. Here are the levels at which the Field Upgrades become unlocked:

  • Frenzied Guard – Level 9
  • Healing Aura – Level 19
  • Frost Blast – Level 29
  • Aether Shroud – Level 39
  • Tesla Storm – Level 50
