Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1, is upon us, offering a far more complex experience than OG. Players must get comfortable with several new mechanics to keep up with the competition, and the Medallion system is one of those. Let me show you all Medallion Locations in Fortnite and what they do.

Where to find Medallions in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1
Five bosses are scattered across the map, and each must be defeated to earn their Society Medallion. Here’s who you’re up against and where to find them:
- Oscar
- Nisha
- Montague
- Valeria
- Peter Griffin
Oscar Location
Oscar roams around Lavish Lair, and a small army of grunts protect him. If you’re not careful, this boss can do a lot of damage, but the biggest threat comes from other players. Once you’ve defeated Oscar, he will drop his Medallion.
Nisha Location
You can find Nisha at Fencing Fields, just South of the center of the map. Nisha can be a pain as her shield regenerates, but the area is flat and open. Keep your distance and take the fight at range, and you’ll quickly earn your prize.
Montague Location
You’ll find Montague in Grand Glacier on the far East of the map. Montague is unique as he has Shockwave grenades that can fling you across the map. As usual, players remain the largest threat. Carefully dispatch Montague’s guards and defeat him for the Medallion.
Valeria Location
You’ll find Valeria at Reckless Railways near the middle of the map. Thanks to the location, this is a busy POI, so keep your wits about you if you’re dropping here. Expect resistance from enemy players, but Valeria is easy enough to defeat with decent weapons.
Peter Griffin Location
Peter Griffin is arguably the coolest boss of them all and can be found to the south in Snooty Steppes. Peter rants about you not being the pizza guy and rushes you with a Shotgun. This boss shouldn’t cause you much trouble, but it’s a hot zone, so expect enemy players.
What do Medallions do in Fortnite?
Medallions will surely be a point of contention among the community for a while as they reward a very aggressive playstyle. If you have a Medallion, your position is marked on the map by a large orange circle. The reward for shouldering this burden is you get regenerative shields.
If that wasn’t wild enough, you can hold multiple Medallions to increase the effect. The downside is the marker on the map becomes more precise, but if you’re itching for a fight, is it really an issue?
Shield regeneration doesn’t kick in immediately after taking damage, so you’re not invincible, but it’s a passive way to recover from trash damage.
Medallions also grant access to Vaults near each boss’s location.
