February is around the corner and a new limited-time event comes to bring a lot of good news to Diablo 4 players. This time, Shrines all across the Sanctuary will suffer a very powerful change and become Lunar Shrines – you can identify them by the huge Dragon adorn and their unique icon on the Map.
If you use Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, you will have a chance to get the Ancestor’s Favor event affix, making sure that all the Shrines in the dungeon become Lunar Shrines on top of a 10% Glyph XP bonus. There are multiple Lunar Shrine that provide specific buffs to your character. Take a look below and take note of these effects!
Lunar Shrine Effects

| Artillery Shrine | Casts have a chance to summon a holy bomb. |
| Blast Wave Shrine | Each explosion summons a cluster bombardment. |
| Channeling Shrine | Increased attack speed and chance to reset cooldowns. |
| Conduit Shrine | Summon frequent, powerful, shocking strikes. |
| Greed Shrine | Chance to summon a Treasure Goblin. While the Shrine is active, 25 kills summons a Treasure Goblin, and 50 kills summons a second. |
| Lethal Shrine | Chance to instantly execute a struck monster, causing Fear on surrounding monsters. Note: this includes Elites, but excludes Bosses and other Players. |
| Protection Shrine | Reflect all incoming damage. Damage reflected scales with Level and World Tier. |
How long will Diablo 4’s Lunar Awakening event last?
The Lunar Awakening event will take place in Sanctuary for both Seasonal and Eternal realms from February 6, 10 am to February 20, 10 am. Exploit both the bonus XP income, movement speed, and all the Lunar Shrine buffs listed above to become even stronger and reach World Tier 4 as fast as possible.
