Due to the number of new weapons and spells in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, it only makes sense that you’ll want to collect as many Larval Tears as possible. This guide covers all Larval Tear locations in Shadow of the Erdtree.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: All Larval Tear locations
At the time of writing, there are nine known Larval Tear locations in Shadow of the Erdtree. That said, there may be more out there considering the size of the DLC is massive. Feel free to use the table of contents below to jump around this page to certain regions.
Note: Larval Tears will only appear at night and can be found in the center of glowing gravestones.
Gravesite Plain Larval Tear locations
There are four Larval Tears in the Gravesite Plain Region. Let’s go over how to find each.
Larval Tear #1: Gravesite Plain
Starting from the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace, head east to the location shown in the image. You’ll find the Larval Tear in the center of glowing gravestones.
Larval Tear #2: Greatbridge, North
Fast-travel to the Greatbridge, North Site of Grace near the Abandoned Ailing Village. Directly east of the Site of Grace, you’ll find the glowing gravestones with the Larval Tear.
Larval Tear #3: Cliffroad Terminus
Players can find a Larval Tear north of the Cliffside Terminus Site of Grace. Fast-travel to its location and head to the location shown in the image and you’ll find glowing gravestones with the Larval Tear.
Larval Tear #4: Pillar Path Waypoint
From the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace, you’ll want to head towards the tall tower and the area with bird enemies. Continue north a bit, and then head west to find the Larval Tear lying in the center of glowing gravestones.
Scadu Altus Larval Tear locations
The remainder of the Larval Tears can be found in the Scadu Altus region of Shadow of the Erdtree. Here’s how to find all of them.
Larval Tear #5: Highroad Cross
The next Larval Tear can be found in the Scadu Altus region northwest of the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. It is near the Church of the Crusade.
Larval Tear #6: Highroad Cross
Another Larval Tear can be found northeast of the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. Head to the area shown in the image and you’ll find glowing gravestones that are hard to miss.
Larval Tear #7: Church District Highroad
From the Church District Highroad Site of Grace, head east towards the Ruins of Unte. Before you hit the ledge of the mountain, you’ll find the glowing gravestones with the Larval Tear in the center.
Rauh Base Larval Tear locations
There are only two Larval Tears found within the Rauh Base subregion of the Shadow of the Erdtree map. Here is how you can find them.
Larval Tear #8: Ancient Ruins Base

Larval Tear #9: Ravine North
From the Ravine North Site of Grace, the last Larval Tear can be found toward the east and lying up in the trees in the center of glowing gravestones.
That’s all the known Larval Tear locations in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Remember that if you can’t find the Larval Tear in these locations, it’s because it’s not “nightfall.” To change the time of day, rest at any Site of Grace on the map and select pass time.
