All island upgrades in Content Warning

As you step out of your house in Content Warning, you’ll notice that there are now some wooden signs posted around the island. There are five in total, and they each detail a new upgrade, and the cost.

To purchase these upgrades, you need MC, MetaCoins. They’re not the easiest to get, but at least they’ll stay on your account even after failure.

There are five upgrades in total in Content Warning.

Island UpgradeCostLocation
Green Screen300 MCJust ahead of the Podcast Booth
Cinema600 MCBy a tree just beyond the order station
Trampoline900 MCRight outside of front door
Podcast Booth1200 MCTo the left of the Diving Bell
Swimming Pool1500 MCBehind the house

In total, it’ll cost you 4,500 MC to purchase all the island upgrades, which is at least four hard sponsorship deals. If you’ve got what it takes, you could probably knock all of these upgrades out rather quickly.

Which island upgrade is the best one?

These island upgrades are a mix of practicality and fun.

I would say that the Trampoline is the best island upgrade when it comes purely to having a good time. It’s not too expensive, and you and your friends will be launching high into the sky – it would make for some great pre-footage.

However, for video-making purposes, I’d say the Podcast Booth is the best one to get. You’ll be able to film a proper intro and even an outro, which will make your productions look more professional.

Are island upgrades practical in Content Warning?

One question I had on my mind is whether the island upgrades in Content Warning are purely cosmetic, or whether they can help you gain more views.

Currently, it’s very hard to tell if the presence of an island upgrade will generally increase the amount of views you receive. And if so, it’s a mystery if certain upgrades contribute more to this. As more is figured out about the island upgrades in relation to more views and earnings, I’ll update this section.

The island upgrades do have their own practical functions, however. The trampoline will allow you bounce on it, and the swimming pool will allow you to swim in it. Naturally, the green screen doesn’t allow you to properly edit your videos, however.

So the island upgrades are practical in terms of being interactable for your own entertainment and to spruce up your videos, although it’s unclear how practical they are in a financial sense.

Do island upgrades stay in Content Warning?

Considering both hats and MetaCoins stay tied to your account in Content Warning, it seems like island upgrades should stay persistent too. When you fail and start again, you should be able to find your island upgrades.

The specifics are currently unclear, however. Whether only the host keeps the upgrades isn’t publicly known, and whether the MC costs are shared, like dollars are. More testing will need to be done, but for now, I wouldn’t abstain from buying what I wanted.

Now that you’re aware about all the island upgrades you can purchase in Content Warning, you’d best also know about the Rescue Hook.
