Turn Eve into a force to be reckoned with.

Exospines are incredibly useful in Stellar Blade as they can add buffs and passive effects to your build, making Eve stronger overall. Here are all Exospines in Stellar Blade, ranked.

Which Exospine is best in Stellar Blade?

While each Exospine can be useful for a specific playstyle, some make a massive difference in combat performance. From worst to best, here are the best Exospines in Stellar Blade.

11. Grenadier-Type Exospine

The Grenadier-Type Exospine sounds good on paper, increasing the overall effectiveness of consumables such as shock grenades. But the thing is, consumables are already strong enough to begin with. Also, you won’t find yourself using them all the time as they are only really useful to stun a boss in times of struggle. It’s not worth having this Exospine taking up one of the two available slots.

  • Level 1: Increases the Damage and Effect of Combat Consumables. Powerful Naytibas are not affected.
  • Level 2: Increases the Area of Effect of Combat Consumables.
  • Level 3: Combat Consumables deal increased Damage and have a greater effect upon hitting enemies from behind.

10. Camouflage-Type Exospine

The Camoufalge-Type Exospine is great for players who want to explore the open area of the desert without the hassle of engaging in every fight. It decreases the enemies’ field of view, making it harder for them to spot you and start a battle. Level 2 and Level 3 on the other hand focus on executions, which only really works with a specific playstyle.

  • Level 1: Decreases enemies’ field of view.
  • Level 2: Increases melee Attack Power by 17.5% for 10 seconds upon a successful execution.
  • Level 3: Restores 15% of Max HP upon successful execution.

9. Burst Trance-Type Exospine

Burst skills are the strongest attacks in Stellar Blade by default, dealing high damage, stunning the enemy, and providing great AOE. Some players may want to become overpowered and make their Burst skills even stronger by equipping the Burst-Trance-Type Exospine, but in my opinion, it’s a waste of a spot. Burst skills don’t need a buff. Still, it can help turn the game into easy mode.

  • Level 1: Increases Max Burst Energy by 600
  • Level 2: Increases Burst Skill Attack Power by 30%.
  • Level 3: Recharge Burst Energy by 50 when Combo Attacks at Level 4 or above are used.

8. Suppression-Type Exospine

In Stellar Blade, each enemy has a shield that must be destroyed first before the player deals damage to its actual health bar. The Suppression-Type Exospine can destroy the shield faster since its level 1 buff provides an 18% Shield Penetration increase. Additionally, you can expect to deal more damage to downed enemies with this Exospine. This is a solid choice.

  • Level 1: Shield Penetration increases by 18%.
  • Level 2: Downed duration of enemies increases.
  • Level 3: Damage to Downed enemies increases by 18%.

7. Eagle Eye-Type Exospine

I didn’t find myself using the gun much in Stellar Blade and I thought it was pointless until I reached the mandatory gun levels. You absolutely need your gun at some points in the game. The Eagle Eye-Type Exospine increases your ranged attack power and max ammo, making Eve into a deadly machine gun. You’ll be thankful for this Exospine towards the end of the game.

  • Level 1: Ranged Attack Power increases by 10%
  • Level 2: Increases the max capacity of all owned ammo.
  • Level 3: Has a chance to recover ammo from successful hits when attacking an enemy’s weakness from a distance.

6. Reflex-Type Exospine

Stellar Blade is all about mastering the dodge and parry system, but it can be really hard to do so. The Reflex-Type Exospine makes these combat systems much easier to use. The window for a “perfect dodge” and “perfect parry” will increase, increasing your survivability in combat.

  • Level 1: Shield regenerates faster when using Guard.
  • Level 2: Makes it easier to use Perfect Dodge.
  • Level 3: Makes it easier to use Perfect Parry.

5. Chain-Type Exospine

The combos you can pull off in Stellar Blade are pretty incredible and you’ll be showing them off throughout your entire playthrough. The Chain-Type Exospine is one of the most valuable Exospines in the game as it increases attack power of combo attacks and your critical damage. In other words, Eve is just stronger all around without the use of Beta or Burst skills.

  • Level 1: Increases Attack Power of Combo Attacks Level 2 or higher by 27%.
  • Level 2: Crit. Damage increases by 23%.
  • Level 3: Increases Crit. Rate of Combo Attacks Level 4 or higher by 30%.

4. Recovery-Type Exospine

Players will constantly be using potions in Stellar Blade, especially during the game’s challenging boss fights. The Recovery-Type Exospine makes all your potions much stronger and even adds passive effects. For example, using potions will decrease the amount of damage you take for a while after you use them. It will also recover Beta Energy when a potion is used.

  • Level 1: All recovery effects increase by 10%.
  • Level 2: Damage taken decreases by 11.5% for a while when a Potion is used.
  • Level 3: Recovers Beta Energy by 100 when a Potion is used.

3. Impact-Type Exospine

An Exospine that adds more to your combat toolset is rare, so the Impact-Type Exospine is a great choice. Not only does this Exospine increase Critical Rate, but it also adds an effect to Eve’s combat called “chained damage” which unleashes energy to nearby enemies. This is very helpful with crowd control.

  • Level 1: Crit. Rate increases by 9.5%.
  • Level 2: Unleashes unstable energy when enemies are dealt a Critical Hit. Unstable energy deals chained Damage to nearby enemies
  • Level 3: Unstable energy deals more chained damage.

2. Protection-Type Exospine

What’s better than taking less damage? The Protection-Type Exospine does exactly that, decreasing the amount of damage you take when getting hit by enemies. There’s also an added bonus of higher shield protection, making it so you have more health overall. I highly recommend equipping this Exospine as soon as possible.

  • Level 1: Damage received from enemies decreases by 10%.
  • Level 2: Shield’s Protection Level increases by one at maximum.
  • Level 3: Has a chance to restore HP for 5 seconds while Guarding or Parrying when HP is 20% or less.

1. Beta Trance-Type Exospine

Beta skills are the main way to stun and deal high damage to enemies in Stellar Blade. You will be using them constantly, so this is why the Beta Trance-Type Exospine is the absolute best in the game. Simply put, it speeds up how fast your Beta energy bar fills, the attack power of all beta skills, and adds a new “Trance” mode. When you enter Trance, you won’t consume any Beta energy.

  • Level 1: Increases Beta Energy recharge by 12%.
  • Level 2: Attack Power of Beta Skills increases by 12%.
  • Level 3: Successful Beta Skill hits have a chance to place you in a Trance. Beta Skills won’t consume Beta Energy in Trance mode.
