Season Of The Witch

All Destiny 2 Opaque Cards locations, explained

Time to build your deck.

Season of The Witch, as usual, has brought a whole load of new mechanics to Destiny 2. And a bunch of mechanics that are typically unexplained by Bungie. They just love introducing new things to the game and leaving it up to us, the players, to try to fathom just what the hell is going on. With the release of Opaque Cards, a new deck-building mechanic has been added to Destiny 2. The Opaque Cards can be earned from various locations around Destiny 2 and put together to build a Deck of Whispers. However, it takes some work to figure out where they all are.

All Destiny 2 Opaque Cards locations

There are currently 55 Opaque Cards in Destiny 2, all available to earn through various Season of The Witch missions. Most of these cards can be earned by completing the Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning seasonal mission. However, there are a few other hidden spots to look for. Grab them all before season 23 begins.

How to find all Destiny 2 Opaque Cards in Savathun’s Spire

The main way to get the Opaque Cards in Destiny 2 to drop in this location is to simply run through the mission. Once it has been completed, you will receive a chest that will contain at least one Opaque Card. However, with the right attunement, you will be able to find six more cards.

#1 The first card can be found just after the first encounter. After you have made your way up the elevator, spin a full 180 degrees, and you will find the first Opaque Card just behind a small wall at the back of the room.

#2 During the section with the four portals, you can jump behind the section displaying the runes to find the second Void Opaque Card in Destiny 2.

#1 In the room with the spinning spiked log, just after the platforming area, head to the left. You will find the first Arc Opaque card.

#2 In the first labyrinth room, head through the door directly to the left of the rune table. Make your way through the swinging pendulum platforms and drop to the next set of doors on your right. Now, go through the door on the bottom left. Head up the first elevator directly in front of you to find the second Arc Opaque Card in Destiny 2.

Solar attunement

#1 In the room with the enormous central pillar and swinging pendulum, you will find the first Solar Opaque Card on the right of the room. Jump to it via the small ledges.

In the room with the spinning pillars and swinging pendulum, head through and make your way out to the platforms on the right. With your back to the room you just made your way through, jump forward towards a gap in the far wall. Here is the bonus card.

How to find all Destiny 2 Opaque Cards in Altars of Summoning

Like the previous location, the best way to farm Opaque Cards in Altars of Summoning is by simply running through the mission. You will be awarded these cards in Destiny 2 in the chests given for completing the quests. However, again, there are hidden cards around the map. Here are the locations.

This card can be found near the beginning at the Altar of Flesh. Head to the right and make your way over the bridge until you reach the fallen building. At the end of this, you will find the first Opaque Card in Destiny 2.

Arc attunement

In the area called the Altar of Devotion, look for a waterfall. Of course, there is a secret hidden behind it. It’s the Arc Opaque Card in Destiny 2.

#1 One card with no attunement can be found, starting again from the Altar of Flesh. Turn a full 180 and head back towards the green cave in which you fought the summons. In a small cave, you will find the unattuned Opaque card.

#2 The final Opaque Card in Destiny 2 can be found by heading to the center area of the Altars of Summoning. Here you can shoot the statue to receive another card.

Make your way through the Hive Portal in the H.E.L.M. Make your way straight forward and through the large building with the columns. Head to the opposite side and out onto an area with a tree formation. You will find a hidden Destiny 2 Opaque Card behind this.

Ritual Table

As you rank up on the Ritual Table using seasonal XP and progressing through the ranks, you will also unlock 4 more secret hidden cards. This should help you complete your full Deck of Wispers before the Season of The Witch finishes.
