All crafting material locations in Black Myth Wukong and how to farm them

Upgrade your gear to take on tougher bosses.

No matter how good you are at Black Myth: Wukong, you’re still going to struggle against the game’s harder bosses unless you upgrade your equipment and craft new weapons and armor. The defense and attack boosts you get from crafting new gear are huge, but you’ll need to source the necessary upgrade materials yourself.

Since certain crafting materials in Black Myth: Wukong can only be obtained in specific regions or by defeating specific enemies, it can be frustrating to track down the last few ingredients you need to craft a new piece of gear. To make matters worse, sometimes the game will ask for items that you can’t get until further in the game, which leaves many players stumped.

How to get every upgrade material in Black Myth: Wukong

Most crafting materials can be farmed just by defeating enemies, but the rarer ones won’t drop as frequently until you progress further in the main story. Silk and Refined Iron Sand, for example, won’t start to drop frequently until you reach chapter two and chapter three respectively. At that point, they’ll start to drop from enemies in past regions that you’ve previously explored as well.
