Now that we know a lot more about Diablo 4 Season 3, you may be interested to know about all the class updates and balance changes coming.
Patch notes are just a day away, but before that, we got to see some major class changes detailed in the developer update livestream. Here’s everything you need to know.
Diablo 4: All class balance updates and changes in Season 3
Barbarian
For players wanting to run a Barbarian character during Season of the Construct, there are a few big improvements. For one, the Charge Skill got a major buff. Blizzard increased the damage immensely, so be prepared to use this Skill next Season.
Other than that, Blizzard buffed many of the Key Passives such as Walking Arsenal. Also, it adjusted shouts so that you don’t feel that it’s a requirement to have multiple, but it’s still an option.
On the topic of balance changes, you can expect to see Violent Hammer of the Ancients always get applied. Also, Overpower will get toned down more since it was way overpowered.
Rogue
There weren’t too many changes announced for Rogues during Season 3. Blizzard buffed some underused skills and skill upgrades to make them more appealing. Also, it updated some ranged builds to make them more viable.
In this case, it decided to change some ranged Uniques such as Windforce, Skyhunter, and Eaglehorn. You should also start to see some buffs come to Caltrops. For balance updates, Rogues will get extra Combo Points from Unique interactions, and the Twisting Blades/Poison Imbue interactions will get some buffs.
Sorcerer
For Sorcerers, it seems that the Lightning build will now get some buffs. Lightning Spear Critical Strikes will now have the ability to make enemies Vulnerable. Not only that, but the Meteor build is receiving some buffs, alongside a new unique called Starfall Coronet that can improve Meteor.
Blizzard also noted some buffs will come to Paragon Legendary Nodes. On the flip side, it noticed that Ball Lightning Enhancement was causing too much damage, thus the nerf.
Druid
Most of the buffs for Druids are coming to Lightning Storm and Rabies. Rabies gets a new Legendary and a buff for Enhanced Rabies. Speaking of buffs, more will come to Spirit Boons. As an example, Prickleskin’s Thorns amount is getting a huge increase.
One other balance change coming is that the Blurred Beast Aspect is getting a redesign. This is a case of double dipping in damage, so Blizzard will clean that up. Also, Lightning Storm gets a buff through the new Unique called Unsung Ascetic’s Wraps.
Necromancer
Necromancers will be getting some buffs toward Bone Spirit and Golems. Blood and Iron Golems will now attack in a small area, just like the Bone Golems. Blizzard is also redesigning the Aspect of Swelling Curse, as you can see in the image below with the comparison.
Another thing to note is that friendly players and minions can finally move through Bone Prison. Those were the only changes listed, but you can expect more in the patch notes.
Now that you’ve seen some of the big class changes in Diablo 4, you may want to know about all the quality-of-life updates coming to Season 3.
