How to unlock all characters in MultiVersus

Every character in MultiVersus has an unlock requirement. Some can be earned for free, and others you’ll need to spend Fighter currency on.

By default, all fighters in MultiVersus cost 3,000 Fighter and 1,000 Gleamium. Some fighters may become free to unlock for a time, but when that expires, you’ll be able to purchase them for the standard price.

You may notice that some fighters become free to play for a limited time. During and after this offer, you’ll be able to purchase them for the normal price to keep them forever.

Note that currently, Agent Smith is an exception. He cannot be bought, but only earned for now through his event. He will soon be available for purchase.

MultiVersus tier list

Out of all the characters in MultiVersus, some will be better than others. This list has been compiled from my own experiences and popular opinion, and as the game is so new, it may change as the metas are established.

Remember that some fighters are better at different game modes, and 1v1s and 2v2s are radically different game modes. I have condensed all the discourse surrounding these characters into an average, so note that some are great at supporting other fighters.

Always remember that the best tier list is the one you make yourself, so only use this as a general and not definitive guide.
