Airtight Games has revealed they have laid off 14 employees, after going through necessary restructuring. This news is particularly worrying since their upcoming game, Murdered: Soul Suspect, has not been released yet.

We regret to confirm that we have laid off 14 staff members yesterday afternoon as part of a necessary restructuring. This restructuring is part of the normal ebb and flow of game production. Existing projects are on schedule and Airtight Games is actively seeking partners for exciting upcoming projects.

For what it’s worth, Murdered Soul Suspect doesn’t seem to have shifted its timetable as a consequence. The game is scheduled for release this coming June 3.
