This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Remember Age of Empires 4? The long-awaited sequel was originally announced for PC a couple of years ago, but we’ve had very few updates since then. However, a tease from Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg suggests we’ll finally see the game in action tomorrow.

Greenberg tweeted this morning about “a new Age” finally being “upon us.” He hinted that a gameplay reveal could happen with tomorrow’s X019 showcase, which will take place in London. The show will feature a number of Xbox One and PC reveals.

The teaser is below, featuring an image directly taken from the Age of Empires world:

So what will we see from Age of Empires 4?

Greenberg didn’t go into a lot of details about what to expect from the reveal. But considering that Age of Empires fans have been waiting for any kind of news on it, this should be worth tuning in for.

This first footage will coincide with the release of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, making its debut for PC. That game is currently available for pre-order on Steam.

X019 is set to air tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. PT, with more information here. It will begin with a special showcase of Inside Xbox, with the Age of Empires 4 gameplay trailer included. There’s a possibility that the long-awaited sequel could see a release date as well, though that’s not confirmed yet.

If you’d like to tune in to X019 yourself, you’ll have a number of options to do so. These include Xbox’s own Mixer channel, as well as YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook. We’ll also provide the details here as soon as they become available.

We know many Age of Empires fans have waited for a fourth go-around for some time. We’ve got our fingers crossed that it’ll be worth the wait, along with Microsoft’s other planned surprises.
