Funcom’s director of communications has spoken about the recent re-evaluation offer for Age of Conan, and its effect of the game’s population.
Former AoC players were recently invited back to play the game for free over a period of two weeks, to try it out after all the changes that have been introduced over the past year. We were keen to know how this worked out, and we asked the question in our interview with Funcom’s Erling Ellingsen earlier this month. He wasn’t ready to discuss figures at that stage, but the offer is now at an end, and it looks like he’s has had a chance to sit down and examine the statistics.
Players are still playing out their free game time, but on the whole it looks like the offer was successful:
“The results of the campaign are really good with server activity booming, and entire guilds have made their return to the game.” Erling also commented on player’s reactions to the game’s alterations; “The feedback from returning players has been really good so far, and it seems that the game’s massive changes since launch is making a big difference for them. We’re very excited to see the renewed interest among former players!”
