ADR1FT is a first person “experience” and there’s new eyecandy to enjoy showing more floaty space action.

Revealed at the Game Awards a few days ago, ADR1FT is the being touted as an FPX,  or First-Person Experience if you prefer. If you missed the reveal a couple of days ago, this is game about finding yourself waking up in space amongst the debris of a destroyed space station following some sort of catastrophic “event”. Trapped with no way home and floating around in a damaged space suit, the aim is to stay alive and try and get back to earth. In other words it’s kind of like the movie Gravity.

In order to get back home you’ll have to explore the wreckage, hunt down resources, and figure out what’s actually happened, and why you have no memory.

The game is coming to Steam some time next summer and there will be VR support which is great news for anyone with a Rift kicking about. The game does look fantastic, and with a heavy focus on the narrative, it could be quite a VR “experience.

Here’s the new shots and you can check out the trailer below if you missed it during the reveal.
