Activision: MW2 Russian Recall “Erroneous”

Activision has told IncGamers that the reports of mass withdrawals of the smash hit title, Modern Warfare 2, in Russia are fake.

News broke yesterday that the console version of MW2 in Russia had been withdrawn after a number of politicians and gamers there had complained about the infamous airport scene. We contacted Activision, who informed us that the story is untrue.

“Reports that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been banned in Russia are erroneous. Activision only released a PC version of the game in Russia which went on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 10.”
