Ubisoft has made the bold claim that Assassin’s Creed 3 will be their “biggest game and biggest launch ever”.
The statement came during a reveal event for UK press last week, during which we were treated to a presentation of an hour and a half detailing the development process behind the game and what we can expect from the final product.
You can read all about what we saw in detail here.
The long and short of why Ubisoft are calling this their “biggest game” is that the play is far larger than any other Assassin’s Creed game – the forest area alone, known as the ‘Frontier’, is 1.5 times the size of Brotherhood’s Rome. A dual-wielding combat system is being added, the climbing system is being revamped, the new engine allows for over 2,000 characters on screen at any one time and full historical recreations of Boston and New York are visit-able over the game’s thirty year span (1753-1783).
