Fable Legends will not be alone in making the short hop from Xbox One to Windows 10, at least according to Xbox’s own write-up of the Windows 10 press event today.
In the section talking about today’s Fable Legends announcement, the piece states: “Fable Legends is just the first of the major game franchises from Microsoft Studios coming to Windows 10 and we will have more to share in the coming months.”
Interesting stuff, especially as last year saw the Microsoft Studios-published Killer Instinct gauging player interest about a possible PC version. There have also been persistent rumours about Sunset Overdrive (again, Microsoft Studios-published) after an advertising campaign mentioned a PC version of that game.
Microsoft brushed it off as agency advertising error at the time, but in language which left a little bit of room for interpretation.
Halo titles are also a perennial possibility, having appeared on the PC before.
Amidst all the other Windows 10 things, Microsoft announce today that Xbox Ones will soon be able to stream to any Windows 10 devices. So in theory you can (to some extent) bring any Xbox One game to the PC. But only via streaming … and with the significant caveat that you’d have to own an Xbox One to begin with.
