Dying Light - 09

Recommended Videos

Following on from our written Dying Light preview, we’ve got 20 minutes of footage captured from the doomed city of Harran.

Watch as Tim prays both that his unplanned excursion will lead to something interesting, and that FRAPS won’t conk out on him this time. Fortunately, both of these prayers are answered! Well, mostly. There is a bit of a FRAPS-induced framerate issue at one point, but it gets resolved and the adventure picks back up again.

That aside there’s some leaping about, a bit of levelling up, a little zombie head-crushing, a battle against some looters, and an excursion into the night. No story missions, but it’s a fair look at how your average wander into Dying Light‘s open world might play out.

Dying Light is due out on 27 January 2015.

Tim has been playing PC games for longer than he's willing to admit. He's written for a number of publications, but has been with PC Invasion - in all its various incarnations - for over a decade. When not writing about games, Tim can occasionally be found speedrunning terrible ones, making people angry in Dota 2, or playing something obscure and random. He's also weirdly proud of his status as (probably) the Isle of Man's only professional games journalist.
