Veteran Hollywood screenwriter, Chris Morgan, has been picked up by Red Eagle Games to write the upcoming game based on the long-running fantasy book series by the late Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time.
Morgan, who was involved in blockbusters such as Wanted, The Fast and the Furious and Cellular, is a fan of the series and seems keen to get stuck into making a game based on the series:
“As a massive fan of The Wheel of Time series, and a lifelong gamer, I jumped at the chance to be part of the Red Eagle Games team,” Morgan said. “The world that Robert Jordan created is so rich, the characters and storylines so varied and inventive, that I feel like a kid in a candy store. It’s really a dream opportunity for me.”
Morgan is currently working on a film adaptation of the game Gears of War.
Red Eagle also plans to produce a Wheel of Time film with Universal Pictures, along with several other games based on the universe, including an MMO.
