Deep Silver has announced the development of Lost Horizon. The title is being developed by Animation Arts, the company behind the Secret Files series, and looks to replicate the style and feel of the old 1930s movie serials – much like Indiana Jones, really. In fact, the trailer on display looks very much like Indiana Jones, complete with fistfights on top of moving jeeps, Chinese women battling Nazis, machine-gun fire cutting through a building, aeroplanes screaming out of the sky in flames, and the like. The title is set in 1936 and is a globe-trotting adventure spanning locations including Hong Kong, Tibet, and Morocco, as hero Fenton Paddock is asked to search for a lost expedition in the Himalayas, only to discover Nazis hunting for occult weapons. You can check out the trailer for yourself here. We’d wager that, being that it’s a point-and-click adventure, it’s probably not going to contain that much action outside of cutscenes.Lost Horizon is due out on PC in 2010.
